- Maybe I misunderstand the question, but why don't you just not run it until
- you need it. If its in your startup group then move it elsewhere.
-
- Alternatively, set the retrieve timer rather high. i.e 12-24 hrs. then if you
- want it sooner, just go to the 'message' menu and tell it to do 'retrieve
- messages'.
-
- Do you mean you want it to run when slip is not? or to establish a slip
- connection, retrieve the mail, then hangup?
-
- for the first, you can probably just go to the directory that holds the mail
- and read it with any editor/viewer that you have. For the second, I'm not
- sure, but try using the windows recorder (never used it - so I may be wrong)
- to record you establishing a connection, fetch your mail, and hang up.
- then just run that dialog so it will repeat your actions for you.
